Happy New Year!

In 2021, Friends of Kisoro saw the unprecedented need for psychosocial support among the Kisoro host community and so decided to expand our services to local Ugandans in addition to our work in the Nyakabande Transit Camp. This past year FROK:

  • conducted 447 individual counseling sessions

  • conducted 60 family counseling sessions

  • conducted 10 group counseling sessions

  • Provided emergency materials to 14 families

  • Spoke on Kisoro FM and Voice of Muhabura 20 times

  • Collaborated with American graduate students and Kisoro community partners to develop trainings and support group curriculum

This year has so clearly illuminated our path for 2022. Friends of Kisoro is just scratching the surface of the work that needs to be done. Thank you for taking this walk with us.

Here's to a healthier and safer 2022.
