Charity Musiimenta is the Interim Executive Director and Social Worker at Friends of Kisoro, providing psychosocial support services to both refugees in the Nyakabande Refugee Transit Centre and Ugandan community members in Kisoro. Charity is a Ugandan social worker who earned her bachelor of social work and social administration degree from Kabale University in Uganda. She has a social work practice background in individual and family work in the fields of refugee psychosocial health and domestic violence. Charity is currently earning her Master’s in Social Work from Bishop Barham University College in Kabele, Uganda. Charity assisted in the development of Friends of Kisoro’s Psychosocial Support Programme as well as the manualized group intervention, Psycho-Social Support Group (PSSG) for Refugee Transit camps.
